Dixie, the restaurant, is the culmination of nearly 20 years of my culinary career, starting in North Florida, then New Orleans, and finally the Bay Area. My goal is to create a very personal and fun restaurant that is decidedly fine dining in the quality, creativity, and execution of the cuisine, with a very warm, relaxed, inviting, and refined sense of service, and that features an exciting and innovative beverage program.

The name Dixie references not only the southern region of the country where I grew up, but more specifically the characteristics that make that part of the country so unique, particularly a genuine sense of hospitality, a deeply rooted connection to the land and where food comes from, and a relaxed level of sophistication.

The cuisine of Dixie showcases the bounty of local, sustainably raised products, coming exclusively and directly from the producers themselves. We then present these ingredients in dishes that reference and are inspired by my southern heritage, and that also have the refinement and innovation that is the signature of my cooking style. The bar features well made cocktails using only the best seasonal ingredients, and the wine list is comprised of thoughtful selections, both by the glass and by the bottle, that compliment the cuisine and are offered at excellent value.

Dixie is located at One Letterman Drive, Building D Ste 150, at the corner of Chestnut and Lyon, just inside the Presidio.

From US-101 S: After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, follow the sign for Marina Blvd and continue straight onto Doyle Drive, which will merge into Richardson Ave.  Continue on Richardson Ave, and turn right onto Lombard Street.  Dixie will be located to the right after you pass through the Lombard Gates of the Presidio. 

From I-80 W: After crossing the Bay Bridge, take exit 1B to merge onto US-101 N toward the Golden Gate Bridge. Continue onto Central Fwy (signs for Octavia Blvd, Fell St), and continue onto Octavia Blvd.  Turn left onto Fell St, right on Divisadero St, and left on Greenwich St.  Continue on Greenwich until you reach Lyon St and take a right,
where Dixie will be located on the left at Chestnut and Lyon.

If you are taking MUNI, buses 41, 45, 30, 43, 28 and 28L all pass close to Dixie.  Please refer to www.sfmta.com for specific routes.

Cabs and town cars are most commonly available on Chestnut, Lombard and
Union Streets, and can also be requested by speaking to any member of our staff.

Underground self-parking is available for $6/hr from 9 am to 6 pm M-F, and a $6 flat rate after 6 pm M-F, in addition to all-day Saturday and Sunday.  The self-park garage is located through the Lombard Street Gates of the Presidio, by taking a right onto
Letterman Drive and passing through the Security Post.

Street parking is available on Lyon Street and the surrounding neighborhood.
